Iran star to serve on photography jury

Iran mega star Hamed Behdad has been selected as a juror at 2017 Iranian Still Photographers Celebration.

Some other selected actors for the position include Dariush Farhang, Aziz Saati, Ali Reza Shojaee-Nour and Homan Behmanesh.

The third edition of Iranian Still Photographers Celebration, directed by  Hafez Ahmadi will be held in July.

The event is aimed at honoring best still photographers, behind the scenes photographers and new talents in still photography. The celebration will honor Iran veteran artists in still photography as well.

Meanwhile, Iran actor Mehdi pakdel will act as a advisor to the event’s director.

Behdad has won critical and popular acclaim for the wartime flick 'The Third Day' (2006). He was also nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role Crystal Simorgh at the 25th Fajr International Film Festival for his portrayal of an Iraqi officer in love with an Iranian girl during the Iran-Iraq war in this movie.

In 2010, Behdad finally won his first Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Masoud Kimiayi’s 'Crime' (2010). 

Some of his other movies are 'Every Night Loneliness' (2007), 'Sa’adat Abad' (2010), 'The Orange Suit' (2011) and 'The Last Step' (2011).
